I remember so clearly why I became an entrepreneur, I wanted to improve the world.
The feeling was so strong within my heart that I had no doubt that my purpose on this earth was to help others and make the world a better place.
However when you are young with such a big purpose yet limited knowledge and resources it can be easy to get overwhelmed. I was probably not much older than twenty when I hit the wall for the first time, the yearning to make an impact was so strong in all my body, mind and soul that I literally broke down because I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to make my vision become a reality.
After a lot of soul searching, book reading and conversations with interesting people over cups of coffee, I realised I could continue pursuing my dream but I would have to split it into smaller pieces and only focus on one thing at a time.
The fact that we all have within ourselves the possibility to impact the lives of every individual on this earth is an amazing fact. But fulfilling that potential takes a lot of work and dedication and even if we work towards it our whole lives there is no guarantee.
To this day I am still chasing my dream but it is hard work and ever so often I must remind myself why I am doing what I am doing.
